Will Beals

Dr. Beals grew up in Boulder, Colorado, received his B.A. in philosophy from Colgate University in New York, and his Ph.D. in philosophy from Stanford University. His philosophical interests are mainly in ethics, moral psychology and the philosophy of action, with a significant side-interest in Nietzsche. Before coming to the OHS, Dr. Beals taught a range of courses at Stanford and the University of San Francisco.

Dr. Beals has a wife and two young children who keep him very busy when he is not teaching. But, when the opportunity presents itself, Dr. Beals will leap at the chance to play a round of golf or watch football.
