About Me

Hi! My name is Varsha, and I’m a full time senior at Stanford OHS. I lead the Book Lovers Club and am the Senior Class President this year! I love to read, travel, volunteer, do gymnastics, and Indian classical dance. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about Stanford OHS!

Why I Chose Stanford OHS

My brother graduated from Stanford OHS in 2017, and he loved everything about the school, from the academics to the people. So, to test out the online environment, I took a single course (the 9th-grade core class, Methodology of Science Biology), before joining full time. I ended up absolutely loving both my professor and my classmates! The class ended at 10:15 pm, and after a full day of school and gymnastics, I was exhausted, but still so excited to attend the class. It was wonderful to meet so many people who were interested in being in class! In the years since I've got a fantastic and well-rounded education that will prepare me well for college and life in general. I have had a wonderful experience here, and I'm very sad to have to leave this community and stop taking classes here when I graduate this year!

What I Love About Stanford OHS

I have loved my time at Stanford OHS. I've found some of my closest friends here, the kindest and most engaged instructors, and incredibly fascinating classes. Every student has been welcoming, passionate, and so interesting to talk to. I've had conversations where we switch from discussing the philosophy of evil to our favorite Ariana Grande songs in just a few minutes. Teachers and staff are so invested in helping and getting to know students; some of my favorite memories have been from instructor office hours and counseling appointments with staff members. The classes are rigorous and offer an education (especially the core classes) that isn't available elsewhere. I'm so glad I chose this school!
