Ellen A. Duran Young

Ellen has worked in higher education for the last 11 years, primarily in college admission. She started her career working in Diversity Recruitment at Denison University, and spent the last eight years working in undergraduate admission at Carnegie Mellon University. At CMU, Ellen worked on an array of teams within the office that spanned diversity recruitment, CRM system development, pre-college admission, and recruitment programming, on top of reviewing applications for undergraduate admission. Ellen lives in Pennsylvania with her husband Charles, but she was born and raised in San Antonio, TX, where she still has family. She loves traveling, reading (real and audiobooks!), and volunteering her time with women's organizations.
