Amaris Cuchanski grew up on the East Coast, where she spent her childhood playing piano, studying French, and writing stories. She earned a B.A. in English and French from the University of Pennsylvania, and later an M.A. in Humanities from the University of Chicago. Previously a middle school teacher in Philadelphia and Cape Cod, she continues to participate as a Teaching Assistant for the popular UPenn MOOC, Modern, and Contemporary American Poetry. In her spare time, Amaris loves running races, reading investigative journalism, and experimenting with new recipes.
