Pixelia Publishing is at it again! Stanford OHS students Finn B., Siria C., Dhru G., Siddhant K., Kennedy L., Ayelet S., and Amelie W. worked with instructors to edit and publish a Latin text to enable students to read it in its original language. From a substantial introduction to a running glossary, this edition also includes grammatical commentary on every page.
"The students of our capstone Latin course have edited and published "The Defense of Eve" by fifteenth-century humanist Isotta Nogarola. As scholars, Margaret King and Diana Robin wrote, "The importance of this work and its place among inaugural texts in the history of the European controversy over gender cannot be overstated." - Dr. Hendrickson, Stanford OHS English and Latin instructor.
Pixelia Publishing is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that creates open access educational resources. The two current series produce editions of literary works in English and Latin. These editions are meant for students, but they are also created by students. Each edition is the product of a collaborative classroom effort. A paperback version of the text is available on Amazon.
