What is your favorite/best Stanford OHS memory?
At homecoming this past year, my friend Ione and I ate pastries together in a park and then sat together inside a giant wooden duck sculpture. We huddled together‚ it was very windy and listened to "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman.
What is your favorite extracurricular activity?
I have led the Gender and Sexuality Alliance for the past three years. It has been an honor to see the GSA community grow, and I am incredibly grateful to share this safe and educational space with my peers.
What is your favorite TV show/Movie?
The 1994 romantic drama film Chungking Express is an ode to growth pains, chance encounters, and love between strangers. Writer and director Wong Kar-wai's distinctive visual style gives Chungking Express an indescribable, nostalgic feel. (Also, it features a giant Garfield plush. As a self-proclaimed Garfield historian, I am ecstatic about this detail.)
What advice do you wish you could known at the start of your Stanford OHS journey?
Go outside and touch grass.
