Micah Tillman

Philosophy Core Instructor

Ph.D., The Catholic University of America

Micah Tillman has a Ph.D. in philosophy from The Catholic University of America, where he did his dissertation on Edmund Husserl (the founder of phenomenology). He was homeschooled from 3rd grade through the end of high school, then got his undergraduate degree in computer science while minoring in music. After turning to philosophy for his graduate studies, he taught at several universities in the Washington, DC area. Then he discovered OHS, and the rest is history.

Although he specializes in the philosophies of language, logic, and math, Micah is convinced it will take several lifetimes to study all the subjects he finds fascinating. On the weekends, you’ll likely find him playing and making video games, hunting for patterns in prime numbers, and thinking about fractals.
