Philosophy Core Instructor & Director of Educational Technology
After growing up in Indiana and spending his college years (plus a couple extra) in the Chicago area, Joshua eventually made it out to the Bay Area for graduate school and has remained there ever since. He joined the OHS in 2012 and has primarily taught two courses (Methodology of Science – Biology, the 9th grade course in the Core sequence, and The Study of the Mind: Psychology, Neuroscience, and Philosophy, an upper-level elective) that pick up on and further develop his abiding interests in biology, philosophy, and their intersection.
Joshua lives in Oakland with his wife and two daughters. He has a strong aesthetic appreciation for—among other things—mountains, John Coltrane, spicy food, and Barcelona football.
