Assistant Director of College Counseling
Ms. Burson-Ryan is a native of San José, California and joined Stanford OHS in 2018. She earned a B.A. in International Relations and Spanish from UC Davis and her Teaching Credential in Spanish from Notre Dame de Namur University. She continued her studies at Harvard University, focusing her research on predictors of sense of belonging and engagement for immigrant and international high school students in the U.S. Prior to her arrival at Stanford OHS, Ms. Burson-Ryan worked as a Spanish Teacher and International Program Director at an all-boys Catholic high school, providing college counseling support for domestic and international students. She also worked as a Reader for Stanford Undergraduate Admissions.
In her free time, Ms. Burson-Ryan enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, language-learning, and spending time with her family, friends, and dog Nala.
