Camila A. Moreno-Jiménez
Camila A. Moreno-Jiménez (she/her) was born and raised in Tijuana, Mexico, and immigrated with her family to San Diego, US. She received her B.A. in Anthropology from University of California Berkeley and pursued an M.A. in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership Studies (POLS) from Stanford University in order to better understand how to implement justice-oriented and anti-racist practices in higher education. Her previous work focused on supporting, guiding, advocating for, and empowering first-gen, low-income, and/or underrepresented students through direct services like advising and community engagement.
Outside of the office Camila enjoys getting some sun at the beach while eating ceviche, dancing to cumbias, and painting when inspiration comes. She is also an active member of a multicultural sorority, Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., which focuses on raising awareness of violence against womxn and works towards the empowerment and liberation of all self-identifying womxn.
